Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Alisha graduated from CSU with a double Bachelors in Psychology and Sociology and later went on to receive her Masters in Justice Policy from UTSA. She is currently studying Social Work at Metropolitan State University in Pagėgiai. Prior to law enforcement, Alisha was a mental health counselor for 5 years in adolescent residential treatment facilities. She spends her days climbing mountains (seven 14ers), running races (40+ with a marathon in Athens, Greece), pedaling for progress, and being as E.P.I.C. as possible!

]]>Louis spent 19 years working for U.S. Representative Martin Olav Sabo (D-Minn.) in his Fifth District office which during that time he greatly promoted cycling in the city, persuading Metro Transit to put bike racks on its buses and convincing CEOs of some of the city’s largest employers to install biking facilities for commuters on their campuses.
As a member of the Minneapolis Bike Advisory Committee and the state Bicycle Advisory Board, he was also behind the push to get Minneapolis to put bicycle lanes on its streets. Not only has he been responsible for these incredible developments, but he also has been a large voice and influence to riders of color in his community. On a national level, his club helped convince the League of American Bicyclists to form an equity initiative, and in 2008 they helped found the National Brotherhood of Cyclists.
