The all-new Tellus Collection for mountain biking or gravel adventures has been designed with minimalistic all-day comfort in mind.
The Tellus collection has been developed to excel in all your warm weather, off-road pursuits where lightweight comfort and breathability, coupled with individual style, are paramount. We didn’t want to bog the Tellus collection down with excessive bells and whistles. Instead, we chose to focus on creating an off-road kit that disappears on your body.
The Jersey
Constructed primarily from an Italian 4-way stretch knit mesh that is super light (a mere 4 ounces in a men's size medium), the Tellus Jersey is extremely breathable and surprisingly durable. The dimensionality of the knit holds portions of the fabric off your skin to maximize airflow and the wicking of perspiration. For enhanced rub-durability, we used the even more hardwearing BreatheLITE fabric in critical areas, such as under the arms.
The Tellus Jersey is designed with a trim, on-bike fit. This means you won’t have fabric billowing all over the place on long open sections of gravel or when ripping down your favorite singletrack.
We also made sure to build in a rear-drop that is substantial enough to cover your back while in an aggressive riding position. A hidden terry-wipe allows for quick cleaning of sunglasses.
The Bib & Short Liners
We've designed the Tellus Bib and Short Liners to be super featherweight (4.5 ounces in a men's size medium) while also guaranteeing all-day comfort over varied terrain. A Nylon/Spandex stretch-mesh throughout the Tellus Bib Liner maximizes breathability and wicking while mesh-knit leg bands (with soft silicone grippers) ensure a secure fit.
Unlike most MTB-style liners, we sourced a top-of-the-line, Elastic Interface® chamois for the Tellus Liners. We love the chamois for it's smaller footprint, that won’t get hung up on your saddle, and because of the advanced foam package that keeps you comfortable for long days in the saddle.
While designed to be paired with the Tellus Short, the Tellus Bib Liner can actually be worn with any cycling short that does not have a liner. As such, we constructed it with a slightly shorter inseam so it will not show below the shell, but also made sure to incorporate a soft silicone gripper that will keep the legs locked in place for hours.
The bib-upper features a unique 3-pocket design to maximize packability for long rides. The center pocket is tall enough to securely hold a 22 oz water bottle or phone, while the outer pockets have tapered openings to allow easy access to smaller items like nutrition.
The Shorts
The trim fit of the Tellus Shorts offers a nice, casual appearance when off the bike, but the design also ensures you won't be burdened with baggy, flapping fabric when charging hard on gravel or singletrack.
The waistband has been constructed with a large elastic 'belt,' which utilizes hook and webbing so you can tighten to a perfect fit. A single button and zip-fly allow for quick and easy on/off.
Two backwards facing zip pockets are perfect for keys, cards, tools or other items you want to keep secure. When not in use for storage, these mesh-backed pockets can be zipped open to serve as scoops, further promoting air flow and cooling. The back of the short features two external, mesh dump-pockets that are ideal for holding your ride snacks or trash in case you want to leave the hip-bag or pack at home.
We've used a lightweight, ripstop fabric in the Tellus Shorts, made from Polyester yarns and Spandex, so you have incredible 4-way stretch in a short that will seem to disappear during your ride. But, what sets these shorts apart from others on the market is the use of woven Cocona particles from 37.5® Technology. Those amazing, little particles attract humidity and use your body heat to rapidly transfer perspiration from the interior to the exterior of the garment. This rapid transfer of moisture ensures a regulated body temperature and can increase athletic performance by as much as a 25% (results based on an independent University of Colorado study).
