The Alpine Thermal has been designed for cool/cold weather rides and/or commuting in predominantly dry conditions. Alone it performs well in temperatures ranging between 40-65°F, with various vest and base layer combinations you can easily stay warm down into the low 30's.

Reflective placements are subtle, yet extremely bright (350+ Lumens), and have been strategically placed for maximum visibility; on the forearms and down either side of the rear pockets. The locking YKK zipper also has reflectivity down both sides of the teeth. We've been especially meticulous about the pocket design to ensure practical usability and optimal packability of cold weather supplies; a slightly-wider center, "dump" pocket makes for ease of use with gloves and allows for storage of a vest, wind/rain jacket or bulky gloves. FABRIC AND CONSTRUCTION: Our new lightweight 4-way stretch body fabric features a ‘move-where-you-move’ unhindered mobility and quick-drying breath-ability. The unique pocketing structure provides you with two standard front-facing hand pockets for use off and on the bike. Two hidden zippered pockets on the right upper thigh and left lower thigh are strategically placed to hold the objects they carry in-place and secure regardless of how high your cadence. They are large enough to even fit most smartphones (if you are so brave). Silk-like fabrics line the waist and leg opening for next-to-skin comfort as you shift, move and pedal down the trail. An offset waistband button closure system and zippered fly offer easy and yet secure access when taking the shorts on and off. The velcro-free hidden elastic retention system allows for simple micro adjustment to fit without the added weight of a belt. We have contoured the back of the leg opening to remove any rubbing against the back of the calf at the apex of the pedal-stroke.

The Ascent Wind Jersey is the ideal choice for those who need breathable, multi-season protection from anticipated temperature or weather changes, chilly mountain descents and/or windy conditions, and who prefer not to burdened with packing a jacket or vest. Wind-cutting front panels effectively protect from chilling winds but have also been designed to breathe exceptionally well in unison with the mesh back. This means you will be able to wear this jersey in temps ranging from 7-23° C, depending on your base layer/arm warmer combination. We love it for Colorado's High-Alpine landscapes and highly variable temperatures (which can easily swing 20-30 degrees on a ride) and long descents, like coming off the 14,265 foot summit of Mt Evans.
